Political and Economic Specialist
The Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Jakarta is seeking an experienced and proactive Political and Economic Specialist to play a vital role in enhancing our engagement with Indonesia and fostering strong relationships. As a key member of our diplomatic team, you will focus on political analysis, trade and economic development, and facilitating international collaboration to advance the interests of Poland in Indonesia.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead in-depth analysis and reporting on Indonesia’s economic and political landscape, including trends and developments.
- Provide valuable insights to enhance the understanding of Indonesia’s economic and political landscape.
- Contribute to decision-making processes, program decisions, and broader engagement strategies across the embassy.
- Monitor and report on economic developments, human rights, and political issues in Indonesia, providing recommendations as needed.
- Assist Poland’s engagement with Indonesia on economic issues, financial services cooperation, and addressing market access issues.
- Establish and nurture a network of contacts and relationships within Indonesia’s political and economic landscape, academia, international community, civil society, and the media.
- Utilize your network to gain insights into Indonesia’s policy and their implications for the Embassy of Poland.
- Develop and deliver high-quality presentations, briefings, and reports to convey complex political and economic information in a clear and concise manner.
- Flexibly respond to embassy priorities, including supporting visits and events, crisis management, and engaging in various initiatives.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in international Trade, Economics, International Relations, Business and Management, Political Science, Law, Social Science, or a relevant field. Candidates with Advanced Degree in any above disciplines is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of prior experience in a relevant area.
- Fluency in both English and Bahasa Indonesia, both oral and written.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and electronic communication programs.
- Strong data analysis, reporting, eloquent writing, and communication skills.
- Ability to build and leverage a network of contacts in Indonesia’s political and economic sectors.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work independently and proactively.
