Business Development Specialist
How Will You Be Contributing to Our Success?
As an Industrial Packaged Gas Business Developer, based in Cilegon, you will drive business growth by analyzing market trends and competitor landscapes to identify new opportunities. You will manage the full business cycle, from crafting technical proposals and attending industry events to negotiating commercial terms and securing long-term supply agreements.
- Define and achieve annual sales targets by analyzing market trends, growth potential, and competitor activities within the Cilegon basin. continuously update market intelligence to identify and validate new high-potential prospects.
- Actively develop new sales channels and build strong relationships with potential customers through regular site visits and proactive communication. Manage the full sales cycle from responding to initial inquiries to securing new business.
- Analyze customer requirements to provide tailored technical and commercial advice. Deliver value-added solutions utilizing the company’s full range of Industrial Packaged Gas products, services, and applications to solve customer challenges.
- Lead the participation in bidding processes, tenders, and open bidding events. actively support OEM partners in Laser & Welding events to drive mutual business growth and secure contract supply proposals.
- Ensure rigorous financial viability for all proposals by utilizing updated pricing tools to achieve a Gross Margin (GM) target. Prepare canonical computations for new business contracts to ensure a Return on Investment (ROI).
- Manage commercial negotiations to secure favorable terms, specifically enforcing strict payment terms (Term of Payment max 30 days) to minimize financial risk and ensure healthy cash flow for new business accounts.
- Maintain accurate and timely reporting of project progress, leads, wins, and losses via internal sales tools. Ensure all competitor data and market intelligence are centrally archived within the system.
- Collaborate and exchange market information with other Business Developers to identify cross-selling opportunities and maximize the company’s reach across different business lines.
- Strictly follow established business workflows, including financial assessments and business risk identification procedures. Ensure the active implementation of internal guidelines (GYM) and standard operating procedures.
- Champion a safety-first culture by adhering to all Health, Safety, Quality, and Environment (HSQE) standards during all business activities, site visits, and operational procedures.
Are you a MATCH?
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is preferred—specifically in Mechanical, Material, Metallurgy, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering.
- A minimum of 3 years of proven experience in Sales or Business Development within the industrial sector, with a demonstrated track record of achieving targets.
- Specific experience in selling laser or welding machines is highly preferred, providing a competitive edge in understanding customer applications and engaging with clients and partners.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and commercial negotiation skills are essential for articulating technical solutions and closing complex agreements with clients.
- Proficiency in Mandarin (speaking, reading, and writing) is a distinct added value to effectively expand the client base and manage relationships with Chinese-speaking stakeholders.
- Must be willing to be based in or relocate to the Cilegon, Serang, or Karawaci area to ensure proximity to key industrial accounts and operational hubs.
