Introduction
As a Technical Sales OR Brand Technical Sales Specialist, you will be a consultative seller advising prospective clients on the benefits of IBM’s solutions. You will be directly impacting the world’s most influential enterprises and brands on the adoption of next-generation platforms.
Your Role and Responsibilities
In this role, you’ll be the go-to subject matter expert, collaborating with colleagues across the wider Sales team – advising and supporting client engagements throughout the entire sales process. A ‘Day-in-the Life’ of a Brand Technical Specialist may include, but not be limited to:
Developing proposals for clients to grow their businesses by solving strategic and tactical business problems with IBM’s proven technology solutions.
- Defining and detailing feasible IBM solutions that complement and enhance clients’ existing tech stacks.
- Delivering demos/proof of concepts and simplifying complex, technical topics into understandable client education.
- Consultative building credibility and trust at all levels to close highly complex technology deals.
- Motivated to achieve sales, business objectives and high client satisfaction.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- You are in your final year of tertiary education OR have graduated from university no earlier than 2022.
- You studied a technical degree i.e., Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or an equivalent subject.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills that are equally engaging, compelling, and influential.
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
- 1 year of software sales experience with demonstrable examples of contributing to the solving of clients’ problems.
- Hands-on exposure to real-world applications of computer science, information systems, or engineering concepts.
