PT Merdeka Tsingshan Indonesia (MTI) adalah sebuah perusahaan patungan (joint venture) antara Mining and Minerals Industry (MBMA) dan Eternal Tsingshan Group Limited. Proyek AIM (Acid In Metal), yang dikelola oleh MTI, berfokus pada pengolahan bijih sisa pakai dan bijih pirit berkualitas tinggi dari Tambang Tembaga Wetar (anak perusahaan MDKA).
MBMA, melalui anak perusahaannya, PT Batutua Pelita Investama (BPI), memiliki mayoritas saham di MTI setelah melakukan akuisisi pada bulan Desember 2022. Dengan akuisisi ini, MBMA memiliki 100% saham di BPI, dan MTI menjadi anak perusahaan tidak langsung dari MBM, dengan MBM memegang 80% saham efektif. Proyek AIM bertujuan untuk menghasilkan produk seperti asam sulfat, uap jenuh, pelet bijih besi, spons tembaga, hidroksida timbal-seng, emas doré, dan perak. Lokasinya strategis, memberikan akses ke infrastruktur yang sudah ada dan dekat dengan pembeli asam dan uap di industri baterai kendaraan listrik (EV).
Laboratory Analyst (Chemical & Instrument)
Job Description:
Laboratory Analyst will be responsible for conducting accurate and timely chemical and instrumental analyses of raw materials, products, and environmental samples to support operational quality control and compliance. This role ensures all testing procedures are conducted according to standard methods and safety protocols, using wet chemistry and advanced analytical instruments.
Requirements:
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- At least 2 years of proven experience, preferably in the manufacturing industry or a metal processing plant.
- Proficient in performing routine and non-routine chemical analyses of solid, liquid, and gas samples using wet chemistry techniques.
- In-depth knowledge of instrumental equipment such as AAS (Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer), ICP-OES, UV-Vis Spectrophotometer, and Carbon Sulfur Analyzer to analyze elements and contaminants.
- Proficient in preparing standard solutions, calibration curves, and control samples in accordance with laboratory SOPs and quality standards.
- Demonstrated experience in recording, analyzing, and reporting test results in laboratory information management systems (LIMS) or designated report formats.
- Fluency in English is mandatory; proficiency in Mandarin is considered an advantage.

Chemical Analyst (Fire Assay)
Job Description:
Chemical Analyst (Fire Assay) is responsible for performing high-accuracy precious metal determination. This role ensures reliable analytical results through precise furnace operation, micro-weighing, wet chemistry, and compliance with QA/QC and safety standards.
Requirements:
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- At least 2 years of proven experience in fire assay, preferably in the smelter industry or a metal processing plant.
- Proficient in performing routine and non-routine chemical analyses of solid, liquid, and gas samples using wet chemistry techniques.
- Demonstrated experience in operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting laboratory equipment (furnaces, balances, digestion units, and instruments (ICP-OES/AAS)).
- Ability to troubleshoot common fire assay issues such as incomplete fusion, slag defects, matte/speiss formation, cupel failures, and bead contamination.
- Demonstrated experience in recording, analyzing, and reporting test results in laboratory information management systems (LIMS) or designated report formats.
- Fluency in English is mandatory; proficiency in Mandarin is considered an advantage.
