Electrical Engineer – Gas Floating Production Unit (FPU)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and troubleshoot electrical systems including generators, switchgear, transformers, MCCs, UPS, and lighting.
  • Ensure safe operation of high and low voltage systems in accordance with IEC, IEEE, and offshore standards.
  • Support commissioning, start-up, and shutdown activities of electrical equipment.
  • Conduct root cause analysis of electrical faults and implement corrective actions.
  • Monitor electrical load and optimize power distribution for operational efficiency.
  • Maintain documentation such as single-line diagrams, cable schedules, and equipment datasheets.
  • Coordinate with instrumentation, mechanical, and process teams for integrated system performance.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, including ATEX, hazardous area classification, and isolation procedures.
  • Manage spare parts inventory and liaise with vendors for critical electrical components.
  • Participate in HAZOP, risk assessments, and reliability studies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in offshore oil & gas operations, preferably on FPUs or FPSOs.
  • Strong knowledge of power generation, distribution, and control systems.
  • Familiarity with offshore safety protocols (e.g., PTW, HSE, SIMOPS).
  • Proficient in CMMS (e.g., SAP, TM Master) and electrical design software (e.g., ETAP, AutoCAD).
  • Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Certifications:

  • Offshore Survival (BOSIET/FOET)
  • IEC/IEEE Electrical Safety Certifications
  • HV Switching Authorization (if applicable)

Mechanical Engineer – Gas Floating Production Unit (FPU)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and maintain mechanical systems including compressors, pumps, turbines, valves, and piping.
  • Conduct root cause analysis of equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and execute preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
  • Support commissioning and start-up activities for new or modified equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and operational standards (e.g., API, ASME, ISO).
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including process, electrical, and instrumentation engineers.
  • Manage spare parts inventory and liaise with procurement for critical components.
  • Prepare technical reports, maintenance records, and equipment performance analysis.
  • Participate in risk assessments, HAZOPs, and reliability studies.
  • Provide engineering support during shutdowns, turnarounds, and emergency repairs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in offshore oil & gas operations, preferably on FPUs or FPSOs.
  • Strong knowledge of rotating equipment, hydraulic systems, and mechanical integrity.
  • Familiarity with offshore safety standards (e.g., PTW, SIMOPS, HSE regulations).
  • Proficient in CMMS (e.g., SAP, TM Master) and engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
  • Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Certifications:

  • Offshore Survival (BOSIET/FOET)
  • API/ASME Mechanical Inspection Certifications
  • Reliability Engineering (e.g., CMRP)

Instrument & Control Engineer – Gas Floating Production Unit (FPU)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and calibrate field instruments including transmitters, control valves, flow meters, and analysers.
  • Troubleshoot and repair control systems such as DCS, PLC, SCADA, and ESD systems.
  • Support the implementation and testing of safety instrumented systems (SIS) and fire & gas systems.
  • Develop and update loop diagrams, instrument datasheets, and control narratives.
  • Participate in commissioning, start-up, and shutdown activities of instrumentation systems.
  • Ensure compliance with offshore safety standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., IEC, ISA, API).
  • Conduct root cause analysis for instrumentation failures and recommend corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with process, electrical, and mechanical teams to optimize system performance.
  • Manage spare parts inventory and coordinate procurement of critical instrumentation components.
  • Prepare technical documentation, maintenance reports, and system performance reviews.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation, Control, or Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in offshore oil & gas operations, preferably on FPUs or FPSOs.
  • Strong knowledge of instrumentation, control systems, and automation platforms.
