Project Planner
Job Purpose:
Planning and monitoring multiple shipbuilding projects from beginning to end by determining schedules, costs, and resources to ensure projects remain on track and under budget.
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare project schedules, equipment lists, progress tracking/monitoring, and continuously update the information.
- Coordinate project timelines with internal departments and external stakeholders.
- Monitor project timelines and deadlines.
- Identify potential project schedule delays and facilitate timely interventions.
- Assist the Project Manager in coordinating tasks and tracking the completion of scheduled duties to prevent delays.
- Control contractor and project team schedules, producing project progress reports.
- Check physical progress against plans and support for the estimate to complete.
- Prepare projects according to cost estimates and planning.
- Liaise with client representatives and classification authorities, as well as investigate NCR and customer complaints.
Job Requirements:
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years of working experience as a Project Planner in a shipyard.
- Demonstrate excellent integrity and communication skills.
- Proficient in marine industry or shipyard work activities.
- Proficient in planning/scheduling, design drawings, and project management.
- Expertise in specialist software (Primavera P6 basic & advanced, Microsoft Project).
- Excellent organizational, time-management, and communication skills.
- Fluent in English.
Project Engineer (Mandarin)
Job Purpose:
Assisting the project manager in monitoring and coordinating work/task activities with the production team, subcontractors, engineering, vendors, classification, and clients.
Job Responsibilities:
- Daily monitoring and coordination with the production team to ensure all works are completed as per schedule and minimize downtime. Coordinating HSE/VSCC meetings with the production team, subcontractors, etc.
- Monitoring manpower status, material status, and daily production activities, generating reports to project managers.
- Site coordination with contractors, makers, service engineers, agents, and ship staff for both new building projects and repair works to ensure there is no deviation from standard procedures.
- Carry out inspections of vessel equipment upon arrival in the yard, updating equipment monitoring/tracking reports, safekeeping all equipment manuals and certificates, and preparing for handover upon vessel delivery.
- Informing respective suppliers and procurement teams of any defects/non-conformity of materials/equipment upon arrival in the yard.
- Preparing project schedules, equipment lists, progress tracking/monitoring, and continuously updating the information.
- Liaising with client representatives and classification authorities, as well as investigating NCR and customer complaints.
- Performing other tasks as required based on business needs or duties assigned by the supervisor.
Job Requirements:
- Good communication skills and an understanding of production sequence of work and quality.
- Diploma or Degree in Engineering or relevant fields.
- Ability to read and understand construction drawings, planning, and scheduling.
- Understanding of MS Project and Primavera.
- Ability to communicate in Mandarin (speaking and writing).

Job Purpose:
Administration of planning and monitoring multiple shipbuilding projects from beginning to end by determining schedules, costs, and resources to ensure the projects remain on track and under budget.
Job Responsibilities:
- Operate ERP system (Purchase Requisition, Job Order, Material Planning).
- Keep proper filing of documents for each project.
- Prepare and update material summary lists for each project.
- Prepare and update received drawing lists for each project.
- Prepare vessel certificates (steel cutting, keel laying, launching).
- Compile final documentation of vessel (equipment manuals, equipment certificates, class and trade certificates, drawings).
- Handover final documentation of vessel to crew.
Job Requirements:
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree.
- Demonstrates excellent integrity and communication skills (English & Mandarin).
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills, good attitude, and ability to prioritize and multitask.
