Data Entry – Engineering Coordinator
Placement: BATAM
PT Bintan Offshore Marine Centre (BOMC), a dynamic and growing company committed to excellence in data accuracy and operational efficiency. As part of our expansion, we are looking for a Data Entry – Engineering Coordinator who is responsible for the accurate and timely entry, maintenance, and closure of logistics orders within the Connect system. This role ensures all documentation is properly uploaded and communicated, while coordinating with suppliers and internal operations to resolve discrepancies or delays.
Principal Accountabilities of the Position:
- Enter all new orders into Connect, including both container and break bulk shipments.
- Update container statuses in Connect (e.g., unpacked, returned).
- Upload unpacking photos received from suppliers.
- Follow up with suppliers for any missing documentation.
- Enter daily deliveries into Connect as they are completed.
- Upload all relevant documentation into Connect in a timely manner.
- Close out orders in Connect on the day of completion.
- Raise queries with the operations team regarding incomplete or incorrect orders.
- Upload signed delivery dockets to the system.
- Request and follow up on missing signed delivery dockets from suppliers.
Knowledge and Skills:
- High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Strong communication skills – written and verbal.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
- ERP/order management system experience (Connect or similar preferred).
- Organized, proactive, and able to manage priorities effectively.
- A team player who can also work independently.
- Professional and courteous when interacting with vendors.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent; diploma in business/logistics/IT is an advantage.
- 1–2 years of experience in logistics, warehousing, or administrative support roles.
- Familiarity with digital documentation and logistics workflows.
- Experience with Connect system or similar ERP platform is preferred.
- Experience with process improvement methodologies (Six Sigma, Lean, ISO Standards is a plus).
