Manager – Mine Commercial

Some of your duties will include:

This role will play a critical role to oversee and manage the financial operations of our mining site. This role will be responsible for cost management, budgeting, forecasting, capital expenditure (CAPEX) and operational expenditure (OPEX), Authorization for Expenditure (AFEs), payment confirmations (Service Entry Sheets – SES), financial scenario planning, cost-saving initiatives, and warehousing.

  • Cost Management: Monitor and control costs to ensure efficient use of resources and adherence to budgetary constraints.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop, implement, and manage budgets and forecasts to support strategic planning and operational efficiency.
  • CAPEX and OPEX Management: Oversee capital and operational expenditures, ensuring alignment with financial goals and project timelines.
  • Authorization for Expenditure (AFEs): Support the preparation of AFEs, ensuring compliance with company policies and financial regulations.
  • Payment Confirmations (SES): Manage and confirm payments through Service Entry Sheets, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.

What skills and experience do you need?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is preferred.
  • Minimum of 15-20 years of experience in financial management, preferably in the mining industry with at least 3 years of experience in a Managerial position as Manager – Mine Commercial.
  • Strong knowledge of cost management, budgeting, forecasting, CAPEX and OPEX, AFEs, and payment confirmations (SES); Proficiency in financial software and tools: SAP, Microsoft, XERAS (Preferably)
  • Strong leadership and team management skills; Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills; Strong communication and interpersonal skills; Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills; Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Manager – Catering & Facilities Hospitality Services

Job Overview:

The Manager, Catering & Facilities Hospitality Services, will oversee all hospitality-related services at the mining site, ensuring a high standard of catering, facility management, and accommodation services. This role is crucial for maintaining a conducive work environment for on-site personnel, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. The manager will develop and implement operational standards, lead vendor management, and optimize resources to support the company’s strategic goals in employee satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities :

Catering Operations Management:

  • Oversee all aspects of the catering service, ensuring high-quality meal preparation, food safety, and hygiene standards.
  • Monitor and control work together with Businesses partner site management on develop and implement menus in collaboration with the culinary team, accommodating dietary restrictions and cultural preferences.
  • Monitor and control work together with Businesses partner site management on quality food ingredients, manage inventory, and control food-related costs.
  • Review budged related to catering (food cost, kitchen equipment, and other supporting equipment’s)
  • Monitoring and review related to Catering facilities
  • Monitoring and review related to customer satisfaction and work together with Vendor to get the read feed back
  • To make report related to Catering on weekly and monthly bases

Facilities Management:

  • Manage all on-site facilities, including accommodations, dining areas, recreational spaces, and office spaces.
  • Work with IFMS Maintenance dept. team to Ensure the regular maintenance of all facilities, addressing any issues promptly to maintain a high standard of comfort and functionality.
  • Manage and Monitor, work with contractor related to the housekeeping and janitorial services, ensuring cleanliness and adherence to health and safety standards on Camp facilities.
  • Manage and monitor on General cleaning of Offices, General & Public facilities
  • Manage and Monitor on Laundry for the employees stay in the camp, to ensure the laundry operation operate on Standard and the Laundry result meet the company expectation.

Vendor and Contract Management:

  • Liaise with third-party service providers for catering, housekeeping, and other hospitality services, ensuring contract compliance and performance standards.
  • Negotiate contracts with vendors, monitoring service quality and cost-effectiveness.

Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance:

  • Ensure all hospitality services comply with relevant HSE standards, conducting regular audits and risk assessments.
  • Implement training programs for staff to uphold health and safety practices.

Financial Management:

  • Develop and manage the hospitality budget, ensuring effective cost control and resource allocation.
  • Prepare monthly financial reports, tracking expenditures and identifying areas for cost savings.

Team Leadership:

  • Recruit, train, and manage a team of hospitality and facilities staff, fostering a positive work environment.
  • Conduct performance appraisals, provide feedback, and support career development initiatives within the team.

Customer Service Excellence:

  • Maintain a customer-focused approach, regularly gathering feedback from staff and making adjustments to improve hospitality services.
  • Address and resolve any service-related complaints promptly and professionally

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Facilities Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 15+ years of experience in hospitality, catering, or facilities management, with at least 5 years in a managerial position.
  • Prior experience in a remote or industrial setting (such as mining, oil & gas, or construction) is highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety standards, quality control, and hospitality best practices.
  • Proven ability in vendor management, contract negotiation, and budget management.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and lead a diverse team.
  • Solid understanding of HSE compliance requirements related to hospitality services.
  • Ability to work in a remote or rotational environment and adapt to challenging conditions.
  • Certifications in Health & Safety (e.g., OSHA) and Food Safety (e.g., HACCP) are advantageous

Catering Operations Data Analyst

The Catering Operations Data Analyst is responsible for overseeing, verifying, and maintaining accurate records of catering services within our mining facility, serving a community of approximately 15,000 residents. This critical role involves meticulously overseeing daily catering operations, ensuring data integrity related to covers, billing, orders, and overall mess hall utilization.

Responsibilities :

Data Analytics & Reporting

  • Accurately track and verify daily covers, meals served, and mess hall usage data.
  • Monitor and reconcile billing processes to ensure financial accuracy and prevent discrepancies.
  • Maintain detailed records of catering orders and inventory to ensure efficient resource management.
  • Proactively identify, investigate, and resolve discrepancies or unusual patterns in catering operations data.
  • Coordinate and verify catering details and attendance for special events, ensuring clear documentation and precise execution.
  • Prepare regular and ad hoc analytical reports, providing actionable insights to management.
  • Collaborate with catering and administrative teams to streamline processes and enhance operational efficiency.

Coordination & Administration

  • Act as liaison between the company and catering service providers.
  • Coordinate meal planning, special dietary requests, and cultural or event-based catering needs.
  • Assist in managing contractor performance evaluations and feedback loops.
  • Support logistics of food and supply deliveries, particularly in remote mining site environments.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and filing systems for catering records, invoices, permits, and compliance.

Compliance & Quality Assurance

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Data Science, or related field.
  • Minimum 7 years in catering, hospitality, or facilities management with proven 4 year’s experience in data analysis, auditing, or operational oversight, preferably within catering, hospitality, or facilities management & Supervisor. Ideally in mining, oil & gas, or other remote site environments.
  • Good knowledge of catering operations or large-scale industrial catering, food cost control, and meal planning; Good understanding of HACCP, food safety, and hygiene standards; Certification in food safety or hospitality operations;
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other analytical tools;
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and coordination abilities; Attention to detail, organizational, Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; Able to work under pressure in a dynamic site environment with rotating schedules;
  • Excellent communication skills in English both verbal and written and computer literate; Proficient in MS Excel, Power BI, or similar reporting tools; Experience with ERP or catering management software (SAP, Oracle, CaterTrax, etc.)

Superintendent – Facilities Development (Urban Design)

Some of your duties will include:

Superintendent Development Facilities, is responsible for the planning, design, and execution of infrastructure projects essential to non mine site development and operations. This role focuses on ensuring all development facilities align with the company’s goals, adhere to safety and environmental standards, and support sustainable growth. The Superintendent will oversee project planning, budget management, and stakeholder coordination for new facilities and upgrades to existing infrastructure.

Project Assessment and Planning Requirements

  • Conduct an initial site analysis, assessing the geographical, environmental, and topographical aspects of the proposed town site.
  • Analyze the mining operation’s requirements, population projections, and the infrastructure needed to support both short-term and long-term worker populations.
  • Develop a comprehensive plan, taking into consideration the mining project’s timeline, required facilities, and workforce needs.
  • Perform a risk assessment of the town site’s proximity to the mining area, considering factors such as air and water quality, noise, and safety.

Land Use and Zoning

  • Determine appropriate zoning designations for residential, commercial, industrial, recreational, and agricultural areas, ensuring a balanced mix of uses.
  • Plan for buffer zones around high-traffic or high-risk areas to reduce environmental and noise pollution impact on residential zones.
  • Designate areas for essential facilities, such as healthcare, schools, retail, emergency services, and community centers.

Housing and Community Development

  • Create diverse housing solutions to meet the needs of a varied workforce, including single workers, families, and management-level staff.
  • Integrate sustainable and modular housing designs that can be expanded or adapted as workforce needs change over the mining lifecycle.
  • Plan for amenities such as parks, recreational facilities, and green spaces to promote a healthy community environment.

Transportation and Connectivity

  • Develop efficient transportation networks, including road layouts, pedestrian walkways, and bike lanes to facilitate safe and easy movement.
  • Plan for public transportation options to reduce congestion and support workers who may not have personal vehicles.
  • Ensure connectivity between the town site and the mine, as well as nearby towns and cities, considering possible future expansions.

Utilities and Infrastructure

  • Design water, sewage, and waste management systems that support the projected population, adhering to environmental regulations.
  • Plan for energy requirements, exploring sustainable sources like solar or wind power to reduce dependency on traditional power sources.
  • Develop reliable telecommunications infrastructure, including internet and cellular connectivity, especially in remote areas.

Environmental Sustainability and Management

  • Assess environmental impacts, including habitat disruption, water management, and waste disposal, and develop a comprehensive environmental management plan.
  • Implement green building practices, encouraging the use of sustainable materials and energy-efficient designs.
  • Plan for a waste management and recycling program tailored to both the residential and industrial aspects of the town.

Health, Safety, and Emergency Services

  • Plan for healthcare facilities and services to support both regular and emergency medical needs, including occupational health services related to mining.
  • Designate areas for fire stations, security stations, and other emergency response facilities with a clear emergency management plan.
  • Develop safety guidelines and buffers to protect the town from mining hazards, such as air pollution, dust, and noise.

Community Facilities and Amenities

  • Design spaces for community gatherings, education, and social events, fostering a sense of community among residents.
  • Include recreational facilities such as sports fields, gyms, and cultural centers to promote well-being and improve quality of life.
  • Plan for educational facilities and childcare centers to support families and attract long-term residents.

Economic Development and Local Employment

  • Assess opportunities for supporting local businesses and creating a self-sustaining economy within the town site.
  • Plan for training centers or partnerships with educational institutions to equip local residents with skills relevant to mining and related industries.
  • Facilitate the development of retail, hospitality, and service businesses to support a vibrant local economy.

Stakeholder Engagement and Communication

  • Engage with key stakeholders, including local government, community leaders, and mining company representatives, to align planning goals.
  • Conduct community consultations to ensure the design reflects residents’ needs and fosters community involvement.
  • Develop a communication plan for ongoing updates to stakeholders and community members throughout the planning and implementation phases.

Monitoring and Evaluation

  • Implement a monitoring framework to evaluate the town’s growth, infrastructure performance, and adherence to safety and environmental standards.
  • Set up periodic reviews to assess and adapt the urban plan as the mining project evolves or as new challenges and opportunities arise.
  • Ensure flexibility within the urban plan to allow for adjustments based on future workforce requirements or changes in the mining operation.

What skills and experience do you need?

  • Bachelor Degree in Civil/ Architect engineering with 15-18 years’ experience in Project management Development Facilities, including Urban Spatial Planning for townsites in mining or heavy industries. This scope covers key planning, development, and sustainability aspects to ensure that the town is not only functional for workers and their families but also environmentally and economically sustainable.
  • Has minimum 5 years’ experience as Head / Superintendent Business Development Facilities
  • An advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., Project Management Professional – PMP) is advantageous; Proficient in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and familiar with engineering and construction principles.
  • Strong understanding of mining industry regulations, particularly in safety, environmental, and infrastructure standards.
  • Have middle level operational inspector certificate (POM) or qualifications certificate recognized by KaIT (Chief Mines Inspector) in accordance with level of position.
  • Strong leadership and organizational, scheduling & time management skills;
  • Ability to work both independently and as a team player and thrive in a fast paced, high pressure environment dependent on managing multiple project timelines and schedules simultaneously;
  • Ability to communicate well, and work productively with internal and external individuals;
