Supervisor Production Control & Scheduling

Responsibilities

As a Supervisor Production Control and Scheduling your main responsibilities will involve:

  • Log all repair enquiries, quotations, bookings, order acknowledgements, shipments, purchases, invoices and reports;
  • Ensure T’s & C’s are reviewed and accepted for all orders.
  •  Issue Order Acknowledgements;
  •  Issue backlog and sales forecast reports weekly;
  •  Review job schedules weekly with supervisor and engineers;
  •  Expedite Shop Engineers, Purchasing, Shop Supervisor, Vendor and Subcontractors in order meet the promised deliveries;
  • Issue Job Reports in a timely manner;
  • Issue regular update to sales force;
  • Issue monthly shipment forecast;
  • Maintain and issue cost vs. estimate reports;
  • Maintain, close out and store production files;
  • Develop and issue delivery performance reports for the repair department;
  • Ensure that work instructions are complete and returned to job folders before invoicing.

Qualifications

  • Apprenticeship or equivalent qualification in mechanical engineering or 5 years of experience in production in the mechanical industry;
  • Preferable to have the knowledge of machining/welding/Assembly.
  • Administrative experience;
  • Familiarity with the use of computers for business, especially Microsoft “Project” for planning purposes & “Excel” for forecasting;
  • Good communication skills, both written and oral, to ensure the company is promoted to the customer in the best way;
  • Language skills – required fluency in English in addition to Bahasa Indonesia for communication with non-English speaking customers

Repair Engineer

Responsibilities

  • Planning, budgeting, scheduling, and performing engineering assignments to achieve specified objectives within allocated time, schedule, cost, and constraints set by supervision.
  • Independently initiating, developing, applying, and testing designs for new repair opportunities, special applications/systems, and improvements to existing products/systems.
  • Independently planning, preparing, and executing experimental programs for the development of new or existing repair opportunities, design procedures, methods, or systems, and issuing applicable documentation.
  • Initiating changes to existing component designs and repair methods as required for shop orders, product improvements, manufacturing considerations, and field modifications.
  • Taking responsibility for planning, organizing, and completing major elements of the technical plan.
  • Providing participative direction to those performing the assignment in the calculation and analysis of data and final reporting.
  • Offering technical information, coordinating, and following up on intra/inter-departmental activities to ensure conformance to design and quality standards.
  • Approving layouts and drawings for assigned projects, issuing appropriate documentation, and informing supervision of activity status.
  • Providing specialized technical support/information to Sales and Service as assigned.
  • Offering innovation and original ideas while staying aware of new and state-of-the-art technology, competitive intelligence, and new turbomachinery applications/user requirements.
  • Administering capital and inter-departmental programs as assigned by supervision.
  • Maintaining knowledge of company objectives and the technical plan as applied to the assignment and related products/systems/functions.
  • Promoting, implementing, and reflecting productivity and quality ideas related to the assigned function.
  • Pursuing a personal career development plan prepared in conjunction with supervision.

Qualifications

  • Graduation from an engineering curriculum with a degree and specialized training and experience in turbomachinery and related disciplines that provide technical qualification for the assigned function.
  • Knowledge of CAD, with preference given to 3D CAD proficiency.
  • Demonstrated effective judgment and independence of action.
  • Knowledge of company policies, markets, organizational structure, and procedures.
  • Minimum applicable engineering experience level of five (5) years.

Sales Associate

Responsibilities

  • A four-year accredited Bachelor’s of Science degree is required, or equivalent experience, with a preference for a Bachelor’s of Science in Engineering or Business.
  • Previous sales experience within a rotating equipment portfolio (pumps, mechanical seals, turbo machinery) is desirable but not required.
  • Practical, innovative, and self-motivated with the ability to work largely unsupervised.
  • Self-starter with a mechanically inclined disposition and an outgoing personality.
  • Excellent communication and human relation skills are a must.
  • Working knowledge of computer systems and software programs.

Job Description:

Phase 1 – Working under Service Shop Management:

  • Gain working knowledge and functionality with Elliott ERP systems and Notes databases.
  • Acquire a general understanding of the Elliott product line through Elliott product training and self-learning from Elliott Technical Service Manual.
  • Understand repair techniques, materials, and standard repair manuals.
  • Learn different repair methodologies, including inspection, non-destructive technology (NDT) inspection, weld, heat treating, etc.
  • Learn to obtain required data to properly prepare repair quotations for various equipment, including scope, cost, pricing, lead times, available resources, etc.
  • Understand how job orders are implemented properly, including placing correct parts orders, writing accurate and detailed work scopes, and ensuring all other required resources are available throughout the job order duration.

Phase 2 – Working under Field Service Regional Management:

  • Gain a full understanding of the fieldwork quoting process, including the Field Service structure and types of field service opportunities.
  • Familiarize with CRM Field Service Opportunity Entry, pricing, scope of work (shop versus field), schedule, manpower, and competition.
  • Attend safety training for on-site work.
  • Understand required documentation (OSHA logs, EMR, etc.).
  • Learn about Elliott’s preferred subcontractors, on-site service subcontractors, and associated pricing.
  • Gain exposure to field services by being present for compressor and turbine outage, turbine/compressor disassembly and assembly, insulation removal, oil flushing process, and measuring clearances.
  • Acquire a basic understanding of commercial terms and conditions structure, performance and bid bonds, insurance requirements, limits of liability, Elliott warranty, and indemnification
